Employment Rates Our students typically have a 100% employment rate. Because many of the graduates are married to military service members, some have opted to delay employment during the transition, causing the statistics to fluctuate between 90-100%. There are more jobs available on the islands of Hawai‘i than our graduates. The Hawai‘i state coordinator for SLP services (Verna Chinen) is our adjunct faculty. She has been facilitating orientation and employment for our graduates who desire to work at the Department of Education (DOE).
