"Ala Moana Hotel's history with the University of Hawai'i Conference Center spans a period of over 20 years with numerous groups, large and small. The UH Conference Center's expert staff does a great job of facilitating the process of ascertaining availability of the appropriate guest rooms and/or meeting space, following through with the contracting and especially the operation. Upon evaluating the specifications of a particular group, they know if my hotel is the best option for the meeting and the corresponding attendees. Also, they know the protocol and communicate anomalies to us early on, thus avoiding surprises later."

"Thousands of people gathered on the grounds of the No. 1 Capitol District Building to commemorate the opening of the Hawai'i State Art Museum (HiSAM). More than 300 attendees also converged on the building from the Governor's Statewide Conference on Culture and the Arts held at the Hawai'i Convention Center, the first such conference in 36 years. VIPs included all of the previous governors of the state since statehood and Judge James Burns representing his father, the late Gov. John A. Burns. Leaders from the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies, the Western States Arts Federation and Americans for the Arts also attended.

We rely on the UH Conference Center for its organization, valuable experience, and superior service. These are all integral to the effective coordination of any public event and we look forward to many more years in partnership."
