SPECIAL UNIVERSITY PRICING
For students: U-Pass
Regular day students at UHM who have paid their student fees qualify for unlimited free bus fare during the Fall and Spring semesters through the U-Pass program. Currently administered by the Associated Students of the University of Hawaiʻi (ASUH), the program is in effect through Spring 2012. A U-Pass sticker is available with the presentation of the student’s ID card at the Ticket, Information & ID Office at Campus Center. Read more about U-Pass.
For UH employees: Pre-Tax Transportation Benefits Pilot Program
Eligible employees may purchase monthly passes for TheBus, as well as Handi-Van fare coupons and vouchers for Vanpool Hawai‘i seats through payroll deduction before federal, State and FICA taxes are withheld, thereby increasing their take-home pay. TheBus passes, Handi-Van fare coupons, and Vanpool vouchers are available for pickup at the Parking Office. Click here for more information on the UH Office of Human Resources (OHR) website.
