DELIVERY, VENDOR SERVICE, CONSULTANTS, AND CONTRACTOR PARKING PERMITS AND EXEMPTIONS

DELIVERIES
Vendors doing business with the University of Hawaiʻi and providing delivery service for merchandise purchased by the University are not charged for parking.

COMPANY-MARKED DELIVERY VEHICLES (UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.)
Park in designated loading zones on campus. Vehicles, even if company-marked, will be cited unless parked in those areas.

UNMARKED DELIVERY VEHICLES
Park in designated loading zones for no longer than 15 minutes. Citation officers are instructed to time vehicles in this designated area and to cite them after 15 minutes.

CONTRACTOR/SERVICE VENDOR PARKING
Contractor parking is allowed in designated staging areas (billable charges shall apply if staging area is in a stall or blocks access to a stall). Contractors/Service Vendors will need to coordinate use of staging areas with the Campus Operations and Facilities Office, or Office of Project Delivery.
 
Contractors not parking in designated staging areas are required to pay the established visitor rate in the respective area.
 
Contractor parking needed outside of designated staging areas will require the payment for a reserved stall. Contact your project/construction manager for necessary arrangements. This is subject to approval on a case by case basis.

PUBLIC UTILITY VEHICLES
Marked public utility vehicles, such as those belonging to the Board of Water Supply, Hawaiian Electric, Hawaiian Telephone, and the Honolulu Gas Company, have their parking fee waived when performing authorized business service calls. The utility company must coordinate their parking accommodations in advance with the Facilities Management Office.

CITY AND COUNTY (C&C), STATE OF HAWAI'I (SH), and FEDERAL (GSA) VEHICLES WITH RESPECTIVE PLATES
Parking permit/fee requirements are waived for vehicles displaying these plates while on official business only. Vehicles must park in marked, non reserved stalls only (Special Events included). Vehicles not obtained through UHM Fleet Services, East West Center, or National Weather Service should not be stored (left overnight) on campus and may be relocated at owner’s expense.
