As reminder, due to the photovoltaic (PV) canopy construction, about 200 parking stalls on the top deck (5th floor) of the parking structure will remain unavailable until the start of the fall semester.
For safety reasons, pedestrian access on the top deck of the ʻewa/west end of the parking structure is restricted. The ʻewa/west end parking stairwell and elevator remain open as does the access to Lower Campus Road via the bridge from the 5th floor.
This renewable energy project will help boost UH toward its net-zero goal of generating as much electricity as it uses by 2035 and, over its lifetime, will save UH Mānoa between $2 million and $8 million. It has the added benefit of providing shade for cars and pedestrians.
