The Child and Family Research Lab - Education and Child Welfare
The education and child welfare theme focuses projects on educational policy and child welfare issues in a school setting, studying family, school, and community influences on child and adolescent school performance, especially for at-risk children and youth, such as children from low-income families, immigrant children, Native Hawaiian children, children with disabilities. This research suggests an ecological perspective to study the linking between families, schools, communities and educational policies.
