Chester Dabalos received his baccalaureate degree in agricultural chemistry from the University of the Philippines Los Banos (cum laude). He went on to earn his master’s degree in organic chemistry at the University of Cambridge, with support from the Shell Centenary Scholarship and Cambridge Overseas Trust. Preferring a tropical climate, he then moved to the University of Hawaii (UH) at Manoa for his doctoral degree in biophysical chemistry. In addition to teaching at UH Manoa, he develops novel analytical methods at the UH Cancer Center. In his free time, he studies classical languages.
