Arts & Sciences Reorganization
Chancellor Virginia Hinshaw has initiated a discussion to determine what type of organizational structure will best support the academic goals of the Colleges of Arts & Sciences and the School of Pacific & Asian Studies. Since the heart of the university is centered in these programs, there is a need to resolve pending questions of reorganization in order to allow these programs to move forward.

Diversity Matters at UH Mānoa
Former faculty members were honored for their contributions to the university as part of Diversity Matters week. Sponsored by Student Equity, Excellence & Diversity, these four distinguished faculty share their experiences at UH.
Malama Honua
How appropriate that one of our school colors is green, because we live and think green, too! Malama Honua, "caring for the Earth" in Hawaiian, is a gathering place for stories about UH Mānoa students, faculty and staff getting involved in caring for the Earth in a variety of ways. The goal of Malama Honua is to provide a resource where everyone on campus and in our surrounding community can come together to make a difference. Watch this site as we share some truly amazing sustainability efforts.
Mānoa Arts & Minds
Mānoa Arts & Minds is an exciting series featuring the best of UH Mānoa theater, music, the arts and Outreach College offerings. Whether it's a toe-tapping concert at Orvis Auditorium or Andrews Amphitheatre, a moving musical or dramatic performance at Kennedy Theatre, a treat for the senses at the Art Gallery, or very special presentations throughout Oʻahu courtesy of Outreach College, Mānoa Arts & Minds will captivate the heart, brain and soul.

Mānoa Book Project
The Mānoa Book Project is an opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to come together to explore a specific topic and to share experiences.
The project begins with a reading of a common book that provides one perspective on a given theme. The reading is followed by a semester- or year-long series of events which may include discussions with the book's author, seminars on the topic's economic and political perspectives, sharing of personal stories, or discussions on legal and moral implications.

Mānoa Green Days
Mānoa Green Days is an energy conservation project sponsored by UH Mānoa to promote sustainable operating practices and reduce campus utility costs.

Mānoa Makeovers
Chancellor Hinshaw’s Mānoa Makeover initiative encourages and facilitates volunteer projects aimed at beautifying the historic UH Mānoa campus and surrounding areas in the community. Working with the Landscaping Advisory Council, Manoa Makeover projects are scheduled throughout the year.
