Prof. Megan Porter receives NSF grant with regards to her work with bioluminescence!
The grant, titled 'Sight beyond eyes? The evolution of bioluminescence and light detection in marine deep-sea shrimp (Oplophoidae and Sergestidae)', deals with the evolution, adpatation and sensation behind bioluminescent organs. The grant will be done in conjunction with Heather Bracken-Grissom from Florida International University,and Tammy Frank from Nova Southeastern University.
