Yes. 1. Application of critical thinking skills. 2. Application of key concepts in Women's Studies. 3. Improved writing. 4. Improved oral communication. 5. Awareness of interdiscplinarity of Women's Studies. 6. Understanding and applying analysis of gender, race, and colonialism in the Asia-Pacific context. 7. Ability to connect the classroom with real world issues. 8. Awareness of issues of masculinity in addition to those of femininity.

2. If your program has learning outcomes, where are they published (e.g., department web page)?

Program web page, brochures, and course syllabi.

3. Do your faculty list course learning outcomes on their syllabi?

Yes. Starting Fall 08, all the instructors in the program are required to publish the list of program learning outcomes on their course syllabi and explain how these outcomes relate to individual course learning outcomes.

4. Does your program have a curriculum map that links course outcomes to program outcomes? If so, please include.

It is under construction.

5. Does your program benchmark or have goals for student performance? (e.g. 70% students will graduate within 5 years)

6. Other than GPA, what data/evidence is used to determine that graduates have achieved stated outcomes for the degree? (i.e. capstone project, class assignment)

Class assignments in upper division courses and exit interviews of our majors.

7. Who interprets the evidence of student learning?

Chairs, undergraduate advisors, and curriculum committee.

8. How are the assessment data/results used to inform decisions concerning the curriculum and administration of the program?

Yes, the results are shared at the monthly faculty meeting and discussions of future curriculum and instructional planning (what new courses to offer, etc.)take into consideration these information.
