non-profit, non-governmental
organization dedicated to Cambodian arts
and culture. Reyum was founded by Ly
Daravuth and Ingrid Muan (1964 - 2005)
in December 1998 in order to provide a
forum for research, preservation, and
promotion of traditional and
contemporary Cambodian arts and culture.

DC-Cam has two main objectives. The
first is to record and preserve the
history of the Khmer Rouge regime for
future generations. The second is to
compile and organize information that
can serve as potential evidence in a
legal accounting for the crimes of the
Khmer Rouge.

Participants visited the Tuk Chhou
, then toured Kep Thmei, a local
fishing village on the coast, where they
had an opportunity to observe local
fishing practices and go on a short ride
on a fishing boat. Participants were
also allowed some free time in Kampot to
explore the town.

Koh Dach Mekong Island

Kandal Province
Participants visited local silk weaving
sites, a weaving community organization,
a local temple and Koh Dach resort. A
leisure cruise boat ride back to Phnom
Penh along the Mekong river allowed
participants to view geography and
village life in and around Phnom Penh.

optional side trip, some participants
visited this remote 7th
century temple complex that predates
Angkor by many centuries on the way to
Siem Reap.

group visited this remote 10th
century capital of the Khmer Empire as a
day trip from Siem Reap.

The group traveled by boat to Kompong
Phluk, a stilt village along the Tonle
Sap Lake and also visited the floating
village of Chong Kneas as a day trip
