|Course Title:||Research Seminar in Asian Studies
|Course Description: ||This is a writing and research-intensive course. This course is designed to help students develop the skills needed to conduct advanced research in Korean studies. More narrowly, it is to get students started on the research project requirement of the M.A. in Korean studies (i.e. a master’s thesis or Plan B research paper) and the certificate in Korean studies, or a comparable Korea-related graduate research project in another program.

- Gain familiarity with the process of writing a research paper
- Organize and execute an extended research project in a Korea-related topic
- Obtain in-depth understanding of a chosen research topic in Korean studies
- Exhibit the ability to present research in an academic conference-style setting
