Draft College of Arts and Sciences Structure for Discussion Purposes Only
Executive Dean: sets the tone for academic and administrative
leadership and College governance system. Represents the College at
legislature, community groups, donors. Provides operating budgets to
Academic Disciplinary Deans. Provides vision and leadership on new
College initiatives, programs, etc.
Reporting to the Executive Dean are:
- Functional Associate Deans/Directors
- Associate Dean for Student Affairs: advising, curriculum, assessment, etc.
- Associate Dean for Outreach: development, life long learning, alumni affairs, etc.
- Associate Dean for Research: grant and contracts, interdisciplinary research, etc.
- Associate Dean for Administration: personnel, budgets, IT, facilities, etc.
- Academic Disciplinary Deans: provides vision and leadership for academic programs, coordinates P&T in consultation with Executive Dean, develops and administers departmental budgets.
