CASAA Annual Scholarship

In order to encourage undergraduate students in their pursuit of a liberal arts education, the Colleges of Arts & Sciences Alumni Association (CASAA) has established a scholarship program in which recipients will receive cash awards of up to $2,000 to assist with education expenses. The number of awards may vary.

The Colleges of Arts & Sciences Alumni Association was established in 1993 to “serve as a valuable link between the Colleges and the community in promoting awareness and appreciation of, and pride in, the lifetime value of a liberal education obtained from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa.”

Eligibility

  • Resident of the State of Hawai‘i
  • Full-time junior or senior at UH Mānoa with a declared Arts and Sciences major
  • Cumulative grade-point average of at least 2.5
  • Some degree of financial need
  • Already received or intend to receive 50% of the undergraduate degree requirements from UH Mānoa

This scholarship is applicable to spring semesters, and the application due date will be in the prior fall semester. (For example, the "2016 CASAA Annual Scholarship" application would be due in Fall 2015, but the scholarship would be awarded for Spring 2016.)

Click here to download the 2017 CASAA Annual Scholarship application form.  Application packets must be complete and submitted to the Colleges of Arts & Sciences Office of Community and Alumni Relations in Bilger 101 by 4 p.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2016.

Congratulations to the following 2017 Recipients!

Jessica Chen, Molecular Cell Biology/Studio Art

Annabelle Le Jeune, English/Journalism

Joseph Benedict Pagkalinawan, Political Science

Andrew Yamamoto, Japanese
